I have a degree in Special Education and I am licensed to teach students in the area of Autism. I also have worked many jobs that required me to help individuals with behavioral management as well as adaptation skills whom are diagnosed with Autism. I work with over ten students In the areas of reading, math, language and social/daily functioning skills. There are a lot of strategies to use for children with Autism i.e. cue cards, visual aids, routine schedules, as well as frequent reward systems in order to increase learning.
ADD/ADHD
I have a degree in Special Education and as a requirement of completing that degree,I have completed over 20 practicum hours solely dealing with students whom display ADD/ADHD. Some tutoring methods that I make sure to use with these students are hands-on learning materials. Also frequent breaks and incentive enforced lesson plans, as well as breaking down lesson plans into simple components to make sure overloading is not taken place is imperative.

Achlee tutored my 11 year old in math for several months. Always well-prepared for the sessions, always punctual, always easy to communicate with, she was a pleasure to work with.
