ADD/ADHD
I have many years experience teaching and tutoring students with ADD/ADHD. I understand how to motivate and help students stay focused on academic tasks. I have my California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and my Master's Degree in Education, with credits in classes focused on how to teach students with special needs. Three of my current clients have ADHD. My clients are very pleased with tutoring and much progress has been made with these students. I also attend support groups for parents with students with ADD/ ADHD. I have taught parenting classes on discipline approaches with children with ADD/ ADHD.
Aspergers
I have many years experience teaching and tutoring students with Aspergers. I know how to motivate and help keep students focussed on academic tasks. I have my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential as well as my Master's Degree in Education, including coursework covering how to work with students with special needs. My current client through wyzant is on the Autism/ Aspergers spectrum. My student has made much progress and I receive 5 star ratings with every lesson completed. I have many teaching supplies to assist students with special needs. I worked in the Special Education Department of local school districts as a teacher and tutor with students with Aspergers.
