Robin
Elementary Math-Algebra I
I have been teaching school for 25 years. Most of my formal experience is in 2nd-5th grades, but I love the Middle/Jr. High math curriculum and that tends to be what I tutor the most. This year I have finally moved to 8th grade Math. I have recently been tutoring for the Math GED and really enjoyed it. While my specialty is in Math, I have dyslexia training, GT certification, and a Special Education certification. I have had superb test scores in the years that I have been at a state testing ...
ADD/ADHD
My experience in the classroom gives me vast experience with this. I also have 2 children with ADHD. I know how to set up boundaries and teach in small chunks. High expectations are essential. I also have attended numerous workshops on ADHD to help them be more successful in the classroom.

Aspergers
My son has Asperger's and since I have this experience, each year at school all the students with this diagnosis are given to me. They thrive in my classroom because I get "what makes them tick". I have also attended district and state conventions on autism awareness and how to help them in the classroom. I have also taught workshops on helping the autistic/Asperger's child be successful in the regular ed. classroom.

Our first time hiring a tutor for our daughter. We couldn't be happier with Mrs. A. She is very patient and thorough while reviewing the student's difficulties. My daughter has had better grades in Math and Reading. She is more confident about her school work!

We love Robin! This will be our second year working with Robin and we continue to be impressed. She goes above and beyond; we can text her with questions at any time (her idea!) and she is very flexible with scheduling. She is genuinely concerned with the success with those she tutors and her enthusiasm is infectious -- needless to say, we always look forward to her visits. She teaches in the school district and is very familiar with the curriculum, lesson plans, and she adds tremendous value to the learning experience. We highly recommend Robin; you will not be disappointed!

I love the strategies she gives my child so she can problem solve on her own. She not only teaches her how to do it, but how to approach it when she doesn't know how.

Robin is amazing. My granddaughter had a 70 average most of last year in math, but this year with Robin's help, she just got a perfect score plus extra credit for a grade of 105. Robin is a compassionate, caring teacher who is able to present math material to students in a way that they can best understand.

Robin was the absolute best tutor for our son, she was able to connect with him on a level that most can not. He was always relieved once he had a session with her, and had clarity on whatever the assignment was. I would recommend her to anyone needing a little extra boost! Thanks for All your Help Robin!!!

She helped my son better understand how to understand multi-step problem solving that was practical and something he can apply. He came away with more confidence than he had before.
