music theory

ear training

I have taught ear-training as part of my theory teaching (university and other). I recently tutored two semesters of theory and ear-training for a Berklee student as well as college students I teach. I well know intervals, chords (chord tones, etc.). I have also done hundreds of takedowns.

general music

I play multiple instruments as well as conduct (instrumental & choral). I have written hundreds of pieces of music in most all styles and instrumentations, as well as vocal and choral. I know theory very well.

guitar

I have studied general guitar, jazz guitar, classical guitar, and flamenco. I have instrumental albums that have been featured on radio and television worldwide and have done hundreds of recording sessions in a wide variety of styles. I read notation very well (all clefs), improvise well and play in most all styles. I know music theory very well (and teach it). I have also recently released a book for guitarists who play in ensembles, especially church worship bands which has been endorsed by guitarists from "American Idol" and "The Voice".

piano

I have taught piano at conservatories and as part of my college theory and composition teaching. I can play classical piano as well as popular (improvisational based) piano. I have played live and on recording projects in Los Angeles and other.

music production

I have worked on hundreds of recordings that have received radio airplay (commercial and digital) and have charted in radio and have been featured in Billboard Magazine. My television and commercial soundtracks are active on major networks and programmed worldwide. I have produced projects in LA, Nashville and other locations. Have won awards for television soundtracks. I own my own recording studio.
