Who do you want to be? In high school I struggled to make good grades. I was a C avg. student and it wasn’t rare for me to earn a ‘D’ or the occasional ‘F’. Everything changed when I found the subjects that I was passionate about and learned how to overcome my educational struggles. Since high school I have come to earn a Masers of Landscape Architecture, a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Bachelor of Arts double major in Counseling/Bible and carried an average 3.8 GPA in both graduate programs. I currently work for a leading landscape architecture design firm in downtown Austin, Texas. I recently served as the National Student Representative to the American Society of Landscape Architects and have won merit and honor awards in my professional field. I specialize in tutoring Digital Representation, Computer Aided Drafting, Graphic Design, Grading and Drainage, General Design Theory, and additional principals which relate to professional development, emerging professional marketing, and social media development. My primary goal is to help you find what you are passionate about so you can work towards specific, measurable, time-focused goals. I create work to carry us through each session and take-home work that will further challenge and advance your abilities. I primarily will work remotely with you via the internet through programs like google hangout, facebook messenger, or other. Depending on your availability and mine we can also meet in person in order to work through sessions face to face. We can also do marathon sessions up to four hours at a time. Cancellations of tutoring sessions are required in writing via e-mail 24 hours in advanced. Make-up sessions will be offered for extenuating circumstances and are decided upon on a case by case basis. Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy (3.8 GPA). Bachelor of Arts in Counseling. Three year-long internships (one in a private practice, one on a college campus, the third as a hospital chaplain). One short term internship as a chaplain in a hospice facility. One part-time job for half of a year at a residential treatment hospital with dual diagnosis teens (personality/substance abuse). Traveled to Italy, Ireland, and numerous design rich cities throughout the US photographing design and nature. My studies have included basic design principles, advanced design principles, design history, graphic representation, technical skill development, and other topics.
