Anne
Math and Physics Professional
I have enjoyed tutoring high school and undergraduate students for 10 years. I taught undergraduate physics labs at UT for 4 years. I present material in several different ways, including a brief summary, examples, written equations, graphs, and diagrams. I tailor explanations to a student's interest, and ask guiding questions during problem solving, keeping lecturing to a minimum....

During the initial process of finding a tutor, Anne's timely and thorough responses to my emails convinced me to try out a tutoring session with her. I was pleased with the way the lesson went, not only because of Anne's expertise in differential equations and punctuality, but greatly due to her very thorough follow up emails describing what we have reviewed and delineating solutions to some problems that we ran into during the lesson. Would recommend!

Anne is a great Tutor, she makes Calculus and Physics very easy and simple. It has been requested by my Physics Professor that I find the right tutor is assisting me in improving my grade and it looks like which I am most certain a perfect match. I look forward to many more further teaching sessions with her.

Anne explained things in a very easy to understand manner. I came in knowing very little about probability and in a two hour lesson came out feeling confident about a whole chapter my professor spent a few weeks on. She used many examples to explain concepts and used many visuals as well, which greatly helped me. Even if you're not learning about probability, I highly recommend her for anyone needs help in math or science!

Anne was very patient and helpful. When she wasn't sure about a concept, she wasn't afraid to double-check to make sure she was giving me the correct information. She made relearning math concepts much more manageable.

Anne tutored me over the summer for a physics 2 course I was taking through the community college. She was always patient with me and all of my questions (physics definitely wasn't my strong suit so I had A LOT of questions.) If I didn't understand a concept she found a different way to explain it to me that made sense. She was super flexible with setting up meeting times and even agreed to meet with me on her day off for our first appointment as I needed help with a homework assignment that was due. She even emailed me later about specific problems if I was still stuck on them when our time was up. She definitely went above and beyond and I would highly recommend her!

Anne is very knowledgeable in the principles of engineering physics (303L). She is very helpful, patient and tries different ways to teach topics so they are comprehended. I look forward to our next session.

She was a qualified tutor but she did not contact or follow up after the session. She stopped it exactly at one hour although my daughter did not even finish the homework she was going over and we had discussed stretching the session out if needed since it was our first session. Of course this is just the one session. I gave three stars for expertise. Minus 2 stars for people skills.
