I have spoken Spanish fluently for 20 years and have spent a great deal of time immersed in the Spanish culture. I have applied my Spanish speaking skills on many mission trips as a translator. While studying Psychology at the University of Houston I specialized in learning difficulties such as ADD and ADHD. I have worked with students whose parents use varying approaches from medication and/or CBTE to help their children cope with their difference. I have become open to any approach that works best for the student.(Be it either of these approaches or a combination of the two.) In any event, patience and a carefully constructed I.E.P. with parental input is called for.
