I have recently retired after teaching Elementary Special needs students for the past 30+ years. I believe that all children can learn. As a successful teacher, I feel that it is my job to find what works with each individual child to help them achieve success in the classroom and on the state-mandated tests. As a Special Education teacher, I have taught many students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have worked with students on all ends of the spectrum. I have taught students with Aspergers in the gifted/talented program, students in the Life Skills program with severe autistic tendencies, and everywhere in between.
