Algebra 1 through AP Calculus BC Online

I'm an online math tutor, very experienced with the WyzAnt online whiteboard/chatroom. I've been tutoring here on WyzAnt since 2014. I work with high schoolers, college students, and adults returning to school. I have a BS in Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside. I also attended California State University San Marcos as a graduate student in Mathematics. I am available every day starting at noon PST (3pm EST) and available well into the night (past midnight if needed...

logic

finite math

I've learned about a wide variety of Finite Math subjects, such as Discrete Math, Combinatorics, Number Theory, Abstract Algebra, Graph Theory, etc. I have limited experience tutoring these subjects, but I have garnered extensive collaboration experience while earning my degree.

probability

trigonometry

ACT Math

discrete math

I have experience tutoring logic and logic-based word problems. I've taken Discrete Math and many related courses, such as Combinatorics (for permutation counting) and Set Theory (for inclusion-exclusion counting).

Jack D. from Temecula, CA

David made himself available on relatively short notice. He spent the time necessary to help, 2:40 on a Saturday, and offered his guidance in the near future, as needed. His direction and advice were excellent.

Heidi L. from Temecula, CA

My son and daughter were near the end of the first quarter failing precalculus when David started tutoring them. Just after a couple lessons he helped pull up their grades to passing. They continued lessons with him through finals & both received B's on their finals. We were so thankful to David for helping them. They are currently in their second semester, starting well with A's and continuing weekly tutoring with David. Many thanks to David!!

Alexis A. from Temecula, CA

David helped Alexis prepare for her Pre-Calculus final. He was efficient in his review of the material and made her feel confident about the exam.

Joshua A. from Murrieta, CA

David taught me the differences between slope-intercept form, point-slope form, standard form, and recursive form. He also taught me when would be the best time to use them. I liked how David's knowledge in mathematics made learning a new concept much more simple. With his help, I was able to learn new concepts that helped me complete my math homework.

Valerie D. from Temecula, CA

Reviewed AP Calculus AB, which included applications for physics: differentiation and integration of position, velocity, and acceleration functions, often times given initial values. Also reviewed implicit differentiation, u-substitution, and chain rule. Best tutor yet.
