We first met Maria back in early 2014 when we were hoping to find someone to help our son with his handwriting skills. Upon reading the reviews from other parents, and more specifically seeing all of her qualifications, we quickly decided to take advantage of her expertise and supplement this goal with an added emphasis on academics as well. Maria has proven herself to be an asset beyond belief, and after only a few weeks we were able to see dramatic improvements in our son's performance. We have tried 4-5 other tutors from different agencies and no one has been able to match Maria's level of efficiency nor her level of achievement. Through her caring interaction with our son, she has brilliantly performed where all the others had failed. We highly recommend her without any reservations if you are looking for a person who can help your child with whatever their learning needs may be!

Maria has wonderful way of engaging my daughter during her tutoring sessions. We have just had 9 sessions and already my daughter has demonstrated progress in skill strategies for elementary math and is gaining confidence in her own abilities. We came from AR and she was in the Gifted and Talented program, but when we came to TX she was way behind in her math strategy skills. My daughter just got her Interim Report and she achieved a 99% in Math!!! I am confident that Maria is knowledgeable and is a "true educator" in her behavior modification/ motivating ability. I waited a long time to write this review because I was not sure how to put into words how much Maria has helped my son. We started working with her at the beginning of second grade. My son was just keeping up and had some major academic gaps (math- spelling- reading). Since working with her, he has gained confidence and dramatically improved his test scores. His teacher, who has been teaching for a long time and is wonderful said, “I am not sure who your tutor is, but she is wonderful. He tells me things she says, and I see what he has learned and I am so impressed. I have seen and heard about a lot of tutors in my time, but you have a great one”. Maria is in tune with what his struggles are, what frustrates him, and how he learns best. He has never ONCE said he does not want to meet and work with her. Actually, he WANTS to. Maria is knowledgeable, she knows her craft. Much like a carpenter arriving to a job without his toolbelt, Maria is always ready with tools and she does not practice cookie cutter strategies. Most teachers in the classroom have one way to educate a child and if the child does not capture the data,they are left behind.
