My daughter struggles with ADHD; a complicating issue when it comes to schoolwork and organizing. Nonetheless, after this school year, my daughter is heading into the 8th grade having gone from failing grades in Math, English, and Science to achieving an above average report card with a couple of A's, several B's, and only a couple of C's. We are thrilled as parents to see how well she has benefited from Kristen's tutoring. As a plus, we decided to get our other child included into the tutoring sessions, and he also struggles with ADHD. His organization skills were a mess and he was failing badly in 8th grade Algebra I. He now has excelled so much since the tutoring started, he is heading into the 9th grade this year and being placed in "Advanced Placement" courses. Every single course is AP, with exception to extra-curricular. We can't thank Kristen enough for making a miraculous difference in our children's education.

Kristen is a great tutor. She was responsive and very professional. She was able to identify our son's area of weakness and to help him find ways to address it.

Kristen is a wonderful tutor. She is very dedicated and easy to speak with. My daughter enjoyed our teaching sessions with her! I recommend Kristen highly!

Kandi M. from Bristow, VA

Kristen is an excellent tutor. She is highly organized and knows exactly how to zero in on problem areas and refocus the student. She's been with us for two months and my son's interim report card is a direct reflection of her dedication and guidance. We are all learning from her and we couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Kristen by far has exceeded my expectations for tutoring my son. He is an IEP student enrolled in a PWCS high school. One of his major challenges is dyslexia and she was able to identify and work with him to take on this challenging subject for him. She has a unique ability to tailor her session to meet all children's needs. I was able to witness this when she led a group tutoring session for multiple students in preparation for this years final exam for that subject. I am grateful to have been able to find Kristen through WyzAnt tutoring and she has far surpassed and other tutor my son has met with for geometry. Thank you Kristen for all of your help and advice in getting him through this school year.

It was a tough year for my son when it came to Geometry. Since he did not understand the basic vocabulary that comes with the class, it was difficult for him to truly understand the rest. Kristen made sure that not only he understood the vocabulary but also demonstrate comprehension. She created games, flashcards, and took her time with him. I'm grateful for what she was able to do with him this school year and will definitely have her tutor my son next year.

I have an 8th grader who attends school but was ahead of some of her classmates in math so the school encouraged my daughter to move ahead of the class and complete a geometry course thru a home study program. She was half way thru the program and seemed to need help. I found Kristen by chance and couldn't be happier. She came in, immediately went to work and dissected my daughters course materials. Was able to quickly establish what my child had already mastered and where she was having difficulty. I thought we need her at least twice a week but she accomplished a lot quickly and once a week will be perfect. Thank you Kristen!

Our 8th grader is an honor student and does great in school but needs practice with his writing, especially as many high schools request writing samples for scholarships and even entry. Kristen gave our son a great base for starting, clear directions, and excellent feedback. She was professional but fun and was good at keeping him on task. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we plan to ask her to start working with him on a regular basis.

Kristen is a patient and enthusiastic tutor. She knows her stuff and makes sure both the student and the parents understand how best to plan for the student's success. She is friendly, easy to work with, and highly competent.
