I was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela and moved to Texas at the age of 9. My first language is Spanish but I was bilingual by the age of 10. My degree is in Hispanic Studies with a Texas teaching certificate in Spanish 6-12. My coursework includes Spanish grammar, linguistics, culture, and literature.
