Aspergers
I have been teaching special education since 2007 with Augusta County Schools. Aspergers is one of many challenges that I have worked with in the past. I work in teaching social skills and how to approach others with their Aspergers challenge. Presenting information visually is of benefit to someone with Aspergers. Working alongside someone with Aspergers syndrome and guiding them through a task can be an effective teaching method. Teaching awareness of their disability is very important so that they can learn to communicate their needs to others. Additionally, they benefit from consistency in learning.
