I am a special educator in Baltimore. I teach a self contained class with grades 1st - 5th. Over 60% of my students have ADHD/ADD. I am well versed in dealing with these disabilities and have developed personalized systems to address the disconnect between learning and the disability. I am CPI certified. I have implemented a Positive Behavioral Intervention System into my learning to encourage the child/children to strive for their best and work in spite of the distraction.

Ms. B. works with my 16 year old son, that has a specific learning disability along with working memory and processing issues, in his core subjects along with helping to improve his reading and writing skills. I explained to Ms. B. about the challenges my son is having in the classroom and she assured me that she could work with him. Since Ms. B. has been tutoring my son twice a week for almost 4 weeks and she has produced positive results by demonstrating patience and compassion while showing my son that he can be successful despite his learning disability. My son is now at the cusp of academic success due to the services provided by Ms. B. After seeing my son struggle for so long, almost to the point of giving up, it does my heart well to see him working with a renewed level of confidence and self esteem. I just drilled my daughter on information her teach provided her 3 days ago.
