After graduating from Virginia Tech in 1992, I worked in the field of television production for 4 years. I wrote scripts, shot and edited video footage and produced monthly news segments. In 1996, I moved to Yorktown and began teaching for a private elementary academy. I taught 2nd grade for three years and 3rd grade for four years.
