Carrie goes beyond helping our sons with their specific classroom needs. She also teaches them how to advocate for themselves with their teachers. So they know the right questions to ask to be able to complete homework and take tests successfully.

My husband and I have been so pleased with Carrie. Her availability and commitment to our daughter was apparent from the first session. Carrie has given her a sense of confidence in herself that she carries back to her class. We are thrilled that Carrie seems to be exactly what our student needed to help her through this tough geometry class.

Wonderful tutoring session!!! Achieved a great deal in our initial session. Looking forward to second session. Carrie was extremely helpful in assessing what my child knew and needed to know for her science quiz. Carrie is very positive and great at teaching and or reviewing science concepts.

Students all learn in different ways and a tutor can provide that needed assistance to succeed in school. Carrie did a great job for our daughter and was able to keep her on track and give her the confidence she lacked in the classroom. She developed an achievable schedule and was great at follow up with her, eliminating the classic parent-child conflict which so often occurs around homework. We plan on using her next year to get our daughter off to a good start in the fall. I would highly recommend Carrie for any parent that is struggling to help their ADD student.

Carrie has been working with my son on study skills. She's amazing in her ability to see things that we don't and suggest ways to improve. She is flexible and very easy to work with. She communicates well and has been able to successfully improve my son's effectiveness at school.

Carrie has been providing tutoring for my high school son in Geometry. Carrie has a very easy going approach, always providing encouragement and praise. She has a natural ability to connect with her students enabling a healthy rapport/relationship with them. She was not only invested in my son's learning/tutoring but in him as an individual. Carrie always checked in with him to see how he was doing, whether inquiring about his grades, his test scores or the outcome of his hockey game or golf match. I believe that by Carrie taking these extra moments to connect personally with my son, she was able to build a trusting, respectful relationship and he was more invested in his own learning. Because of her ability to engage with my son, she was able to call him on his "bad" habits light heartedly without blaming or shaming him. I was also able to utilize Carrie as a sounding board with regard to handling my sons IEP and planning his high school schedule. She offered suggestions and advice when asked and I respected what she offered. I found Carrie to be very knowledgeable of the educational system and specifically IEPs. I highly recommend Carrie to tutor your child; you and your child will very happy with her services. Her work with my son shows more than just in his improved grades but in the confidence she instilled in him.

Carrie is extremely patient and has the ability to connect with the student. We were so concerned that our granddaughter wouldn't find someone that would be patient or have the ability to help overcome how far behind our granddaughter had become. The one on one tutoring was truly the answer for our situation. I look forward to utilizing Carrie for all tutoring needs.

After Carrie left our first lesson I felt more positive and encouraged than ever. She is great with showing how to write out the problems which was a problem with me and by the time she left I felt very confident! Thanks Carrie!

Carrie has been an extremely effective and patient tutor. Her positive attitude has been very helpful in keeping my daughter's confidence up. And her SAT scores went up over 100 points!

Carrie is an expert confidence-booster and really helped me to feel prepared for the PSAT. She sat with me for just a short time and gave me all kinds of tips about how to answer the problems, as well as strategies in general test taking. Very knowledgeable about the requirements for high school and beyond, Carrie also is great to talk to regarding college prep. She is very warm and personable, and knows just how to give you the confidence and support you need to succeed! Her catch phrase is, "You CAN do it!"

Carrie is a great teacher. She worked with my son on the writing/reading portion of the SAT test and in just 1.5 hrs he had a much greater understanding of what he needs to do to improve his score on this test. Carrie knows the 'ins and outs' of the SAT test and was quickly able to give my son the key information he needed. In addition, she is friendly and personable so it was a pleasure to work with her.

She was very flexible when it came to the hours and days that I wanted her to come by. She also gave me her phone number, so it was very easy to contact and she was always on time. She worked with how I learned and taught me how to do my work in a way where it came easiest to me. She is very outgoing and kind and seems to know what shes talking about.
