Learning from Barbara is fun and stress-free. She is so sweet and patient. Barbara is a native speaker of German so over time it's easy to get a feel for the genuine pronunciation and inflections. I also feel like I've learned a lot about German culture through our lessons. Her teaching style is less "textbook" and more natural - vocabulary and grammatical concepts are introduced as part of a topic (family, food, travel, shopping, etc) and most of our time is spent in practice conversations. I started with no prior knowledge of the language and this has been very effective for me!
