I have been a teacher for over 40 years. I began as a high school teacher of science, history and English in East Africa, then went on to teach science (particularly genetics) at UCLA and UCSD. After retirement from UCSD and moving to the Olympic Peninsula I have continued to teach, now lecturing on gardening and ecology topics.
