My daughter has met with Yuko a couple of times and each experience has been more than great! Yuko is patient and we can tell she loves what she does as she takes the time for my daughter to actually learn. She has even tasked homework assignments for my daughter to work on! I am pretty happy about the lessons with Yuko so far. I started Japanese study as a total beginner and she was very patient and helpful. Also she provided a flexible schedule which worked great for me. Majority of the tutors I contacted before simply wanted me to pay them and then organize the lessons on my own and it had to be a library room and if that could not be done they would only consider a Starbucks location (which I personally find ridiculous for a fair tuition rate). Yuko was reasonable to arrange the lessons by booking a room herself and if that could not be done she would just come to my house. So I wish I could afford more time with her as it is important for the language practice. She is a great tutor I highly recommend.

Yuko has been a great tutor. When my son needed to skip a year of Japanese in high school (because of the way his schedule came together he could only fit in the advanced class), we decided to get a tutor to assist him through the year. Yuko-san was very helpful in brushing up my Japanese skills. She quickly aligned to my level (business proficient) while still challenging me. In particular, after I asked her to ensure she point out unnatural mistakes even if small, she was able to not only point out the mistakes but help me quickly understand why and then continue on in the conversation. Yuko was also able to quickly adapt to the specific business topics I was interested in, read several articles with me and then helped with discussion. I would highly recommend Yuko. Yuko was very patient and helpful in my lesson, and came prepared with a lot of study materials for us to work with, even though I'm studying an area of the language that isn't commonly studied outside of Japan. Unlike many Japanese teachers, she also wasn't afraid to point out small errors, which often never get fixed simply by being around native speakers or novice teachers, who frequently don't feel confident enough to bring them up. At my stage, it's important not to let bad habits slide, so I was extremely thankful that she was comfortable enough to let me know when I'd used a wrong particle, etc. I'm very glad to have met her!
