ADD/ADHD
I am finishing my degree with the University of Wisconsin in Special Education, this semester. I will graduate Dec. of 2015. I have been tutoring for several years. Many of my students come in with a diagnosis of ADHD or a combination of that with something else. I have been able to help all of my students. Some are very angry in the beginning and some are more agreeable. Because of my training, I have been able to find a way to work with each one. I spent over 100 hours in a class of students that were adjudicated, many of which had ADHD along with other issues. I was able to help those students learn something during that semester.
Aspergers
I am finishing my degree with the University of Wisconsin in Special Education, this semester. I will graduate Dec. of 2015. I have over 400 hours in schools working with many different types of disabilities. While I had a tutor job at UW Washington County, I worked one on one with a student identified with Aspergers. I helped prepare the student so that he could learn behaviors and study tool to go off to college for his remainder 2 years. I also worked closely with his father. I have taken many extra psychology courses in addition to special education to better qualify me for working with diverse students.
